  • Markets at Marktheidenfeld

  • Now, as ever, the traditional markets, which gave Marktheidenfeld its name, are an attraction for citizens and visitors from the surroundings and have a special significance in the course of the year. Apart from the May Market, the Laurenzi Market and the St. Martin's Market, there has also been a Christmas Market since 2002, organized by the city. And there is a weekly fruit and vegetable market in market square.

  • May Market

  • The May Market
    On the first Sunday in May from 10.00 to 18.00 in market square, in Bronnbacher Straße and the parking lot at Stadtmauergässchen and in Obertorstraße. The shops of Marktheidenfeld will also be open on this Sunday from 13.00 to 18.00.

    In those years where the 1st of May is a Sunday, the May Market will be held on the sencond Sunday.

  • Laurenzi Market

  • Laurenzi Market
    The traditional Laurenzi-Market is part of the large folk festival Laurenzi-Fair. The market runs along the river Main between Fahrgasse and the festival ground at Martinswiese. The market stalls are open on each day of the fair from 10.00 to 22.00. The Laurenzi Fair is held for a week in August each year, around August 15 (Holy Ascension of the Virgin Mary). On both Sundays of the fair the shops inside town will be open from 13.00 to 18.00.

  • St. Martin's Market

  • On the third Sunday in October from 10.00 to 18.00 Uhr. Also here the shops in town will be open form 13.00 to 18.00. The stalls of St. Martin's market are at Marktplatz, in Bronnbacher Straße, including the parking lot at  Stadtmauergässchen and in Obertorstraße.

  • Christmas Market

  • Christmas Market
    From Friday to Sunday on the second Advent weekend, from 10.00 to 20.00. The market stalls on Marktplatz as well as around the old town hall, the church of St. Laurentius and the Blacksmith Museum, in Bronnbacher Straße and Obertorstraße offer seasonal and handicraft objects. There is also a program for children and music.
